Lone Star State.

Wednesday. That’s when we’ll get to Texas.
I’m breathing a shallow sigh of relief now that I know we’re going. But all the dark stuff is still ahead. First on the agenda is telling the kids.
I’m not sure what I’ll be doing with this blog in the upcoming month. I’m a better writer than I am a talker. And writing through this stuff might be how I get through it. On the other hand, burying my emotions deep, deep down and ignoring them seems like a promising approach as well.
The only thing I can count on, besides my inappropriate humor, is that the next few weeks are going to be surreal. This is our once-every-two-years Texas trip, so I’ll want to spend time with friends. And I’ll want to take the kids to museums and Seaworld and make the most of the time we have in a temperate climate. I’m not sure how it’s going to all work.
I don’t think I’m supposed to know. I might tell you about it. I might not. I might tell you ridiculous made-up fables or only-happened-in-my-head celebrity interviews. Or I might post pictures of the kids having the time of their lives on a rollercoaster.
Not sure yet. But we get there on Wednesday.

love you sweetie. i’m so sorry you’re going through this.
We’ll be here for you whatever you decide to do.
Okay, I was away for a week and I think I definitely missed something.
Personally, I’ll take whatever you want to give and will certainly understand if you need a break. You’re in the reader so I’ll continue stalking you whenever you’re ready to post again.
Now I’m caught up. I’m so very sorry. I imagine this will be such a hard trip. Please know that you can lean on the strength of friends you may have never met in real life but like you just the same.
My thoughts will be with you.
Can you feel me hugging you from Florida?
God I hope so. Otherwise me squeezing the monitor is just awkward.
