I used to live in Idaho. I was born in Saint Maries and was raised on the Rathdrum Prairie. This was many years ago when the place lived and breathed natural resource industries. I found the communities to be intolerable. They were racist and small minded, and the children they raised were predominantly tough and abusive. I was never so glad as to have moved away.

Hi Kristi, Love your blog! I'm in Idaho too...but South near Boise. Never been up to North Idaho. I bet its gorgeous! We homeschool 2, I have 4 boys 9, 6, 3 and 1. Its an adventure, helps to have a sense of humor. Looks like you've got that part down to a science. Love your blog! ~April

Northern Idaho...how northern? I've never ventured much past Stanley, but the terrain there was pretty rugged. Must be beautiful and difficult, not even counting home-schooling three kids. Good going, Kristi. More Power to you.
